Rita E. Miller's work is primarily Printmaking and Printmaking combined with other media. She was introduced to the art of the Print in Japan, the heart of the medium. Her interest expanded with an A.A. from Olympic College, Bremerton Washington, and a B.A. from the University of California, Riverside.
Rita now lives in Fallbrook, after accompanying her husband, a career Navy dentist, to many stations in the United States and abroad.
Miller has combined acrylic painting with her prints, creating abstract designs. Many of these works were inspired by her connection to Australia. Some of these are in private collections in Sydney.
When Brandon Gallery requested printmaking to be the focus of a Featured Artist exhibition held January 2009, Rita began developing new levels of the media. She was awarded both first prize and Honorable Mention for her entries of printmaking in the Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League's Annual Open Show in 2008.
"I have integrated my many travels and my feelings into my work. I am eager to continue in this path."
